Application Scope
Winworth manufactures drawing-based water-cooled copper components for flash furnaces and Ausmelt top-submerged-lance (TSL) furnace systems. The ordered scope may include jackets, panels, blocks, burner-area components, shell or roof cooling elements, and other machined or fabricated parts explicitly defined by the installed furnace drawing.
A stationary flash-smelting furnace and a TSL bath-smelting furnace are different process and equipment architectures. Their cooling elements must not be selected from a common outline alone. Confirm the furnace technology, process duty, exact zone, refractory relationship, mounting arrangement, and supply boundary.
Furnace Zone, Refractory, and Water Circuits
Provide the furnace plan and sections, component elevation and orientation, hot-face and cold-face definition, shell opening, refractory or freeze-lining interface, retaining features, surrounding clearances, connection and removal path, burner or lance relationship where applicable, and any monitored locations.
Cooling documentation should identify every supply and return path, drilled, machined, cast, or fabricated channel construction, circuit separation, partitions, inlet and outlet orientation, pipes, plugs, closures, joints, flow direction, sensors, and the buyer's test method. Pressure, flow, water quality, temperature, and alarm limits remain project inputs.
Material, Manufacturing, and Inspection
Copper grade and condition, blank route, continuous-cast, forged, rolled, cast, machined, drilled, welded, or assembled construction, joining procedures, repair restrictions, and surface requirements follow the approved drawing. A furnace technology or cooling-element name does not authorize copying an OEM proprietary design.
Inspection may include material records, critical dimensions and profiles, channel verification, connection orientation, wall and interface geometry, joint and closure examination, specified NDT, pressure or leakage testing, circuit separation, trial fit, and documentation. No fixed heat load, cooling capacity, pressure, flow, furnace campaign, or service life is promised.
RFQ Information
Provide the flash or TSL furnace type, process metal and duty, component and furnace drawings, exact zone and supply boundary, refractory and shell interfaces, material and construction, complete cooling map, connections, tolerances, failed-part evidence, inspection and pressure-test procedure, acceptance criteria, quantity, records, packaging, lifting, and destination.
