Application Scope

Winworth manufactures drawing-based copper components for blast-furnace cooling and tuyere-area replacement projects. Typical scopes include copper cooling staves or plates, cooling boxes, tuyeres, tuyere coolers, water jackets, and related machined or fabricated parts when defined by the furnace documentation.

A stave, cooling box, tuyere, and tuyere cooler perform different functions and are not interchangeable product names. The inquiry must identify the exact furnace zone and ordered boundary, including whether pipes, plugs, flanges, refractory-retention features, seals, fasteners, or mating parts are included.

Furnace Position and Cooling Interfaces

Provide the furnace elevation and circumferential position, shell and lining relationship, local geometry, hot-face and cold-face definition, burden or gas exposure where relevant, mounting and retention system, connection orientation, removal path, surrounding clearances, and maintenance constraints.

Cooling documentation should identify supply and return paths, channel or drilled-passage construction, circuit separation, inlet and outlet locations, pipe or hose interfaces, closures, joints, monitored points, and the buyer's test procedure. Design pressure, flow, water quality, temperature, and alarm criteria remain project inputs rather than catalog assumptions.

Material, Manufacturing, and Inspection

Copper grade and condition, blank route, casting, forging, rolling, machining, drilling, joining, welding, repair restrictions, and surface requirements follow the approved drawing. The technical review must not substitute a generic copper designation for the specified standard and property requirements.

Inspection may include material certificates, critical dimensions, cooling-passage verification, connection orientation, flatness and alignment, joint and closure examination, specified NDT, pressure or leakage testing, circuit separation, and fit checks. No furnace campaign, heat-removal rate, water-flow value, or service-life improvement is promised without project evidence.

RFQ Information

Provide the blast-furnace and component drawings, exact position, supply boundary, material and construction, complete cooling map, connections, tolerances, condition of the removed part, inspection and pressure-test procedure, acceptance criteria, quantity, records, packaging, lifting requirements, and destination.
