Industry Scope
Winworth manufactures drawing-based copper and copper alloy components for ironmaking, steelmaking, continuous casting, and rolling equipment. The supply scope is organized around the component's actual position: heat removal at a furnace shell or tuyere zone, current transfer in an electric furnace, oxygen-blowing and cooling interfaces at a converter, solidification in a continuous-caster mold, or bearing and wear positions in a rolling mill.
Integrated BF/BOF plants and electric arc furnace (EAF) plants use different process routes, but both require replacement components that must match installed equipment. A product name alone is not enough to confirm fit, material, water circuit, electrical interface, or acceptance criteria.
Equipment and Component Families
Blast-furnace inquiries may include copper cooling staves or plates, cooling boxes, tuyeres, tuyere coolers, and associated drawing-based parts. EAF scope may include water-cooled panels or roofs, current-conducting electrode arms, clamps, holders, busbars, cables, and cooling components. Basic oxygen furnace (BOF) converter scope may include oxygen-lance tips or nozzles, cooling jackets, and related copper replacements.
Continuous-casting scope includes copper mold assemblies, plates, mold tubes, and ordered coating or machining. Steel rolling-mill scope may include copper alloy bushings, sleeves, guide or wear parts, plates, rings, and custom machined replacements. Each family retains its own product and application identity; these examples do not form a universal package for every plant.
Engineering and Quality Review
Review starts with the process route, equipment maker and model when available, installation position, current drawing revision, failed-part evidence, material specification, mating components, cooling or electrical connections, tolerances, maintenance access, and replacement schedule. For repeat parts, an unworn drawing or verified reference is preferable to dimensions taken only from a worn component.
Inspection is agreed by component function. It may include material verification, dimensional and interface checks, cooling-passage mapping, electrical-contact inspection, joint examination, specified NDT, pressure or leakage testing, coating measurements, trial fit, and documentation review. No single inspection plan applies to all furnace, caster, and rolling-mill parts.
RFQ Information
Provide the plant and equipment position, drawing and revision, photos, exact supply boundary, material grade and condition, cooling or current-transfer data, interfaces, tolerances, known failure mode, quantity, required tests and records, packaging, destination, and requested delivery schedule. Winworth reviews manufacturing, inspection, and delivery requirements against the confirmed technical package before order acceptance.
