Application Scope
Winworth manufactures drawing-based copper alloy components for steel rolling-mill bearing, guide, sliding, adjustment, and wear positions. The scope may include bushings, sleeves, rings, wear plates, guide parts, sliding blocks, nuts, and custom machined replacements where a copper alloy is specified by the equipment drawing.
This page does not cover steel work rolls, backup rolls, complete rolling stands, or generic stock bronze bearings. The ordered component must be identified by its mill position, mating assembly, dimensions, material standard, and duty.
Load, Fit, Lubrication, and Wear
Provide the mill section and stand or auxiliary-equipment position, static and dynamic load data available to the buyer, direction and frequency of movement, shaft and housing dimensions, fit and clearance, alignment, lubrication method and grooves, cooling when present, mating materials and hardness, edge loads, impact or vibration, contamination, and maintenance access.
For replacements, include the original drawing, unworn reference dimensions, service photographs, wear pattern, seizure, cracking, deformation, lubrication failure, or fit issue. Measurements from a worn part must be identified so they are not copied as nominal geometry.
Material, Manufacturing, and Inspection
Bronze or another copper-alloy designation must include the governing standard, condition, mechanical or tribological requirements, and any heat-treatment or surface specification. Casting, forging, centrifugal casting, extrusion, machining, joining, lubrication-groove production, and finishing are selected only after the drawing and order requirements are confirmed.
Inspection may include material records, dimensions, bore and outside diameter, roundness, cylindricity, concentricity, fit, groove geometry, surface finish, hardness or other specified properties, visual examination, and agreed NDT. No load rating, friction coefficient, wear rate, or service-life improvement is claimed without a defined design and test basis.
RFQ Information
Provide the rolling-mill and component position, drawing and revision, mating shaft and housing data, load and movement information, fit and clearance, lubrication, material and standard, current failure evidence, tolerances, inspection requirements, quantity, documentation, packaging, and destination.
