Catalogs & Downloads A copy-ready worksheet for recording the technical, quality, commercial, packaging, and delivery information needed to review a custom copper component inquiry.

How to Use the Template

Copy the following sections into an RFQ document or use them to prepare the information submitted through Request a Quote. Replace each prompt with a value, not applicable, open for Winworth proposal, or pending buyer confirmation.

Attach controlled drawings and specifications separately. The template does not override the drawing, purchase order, or agreed document hierarchy.

A. Buyer and Project

  • Buyer company:
  • Project or plant:
  • End-use country:
  • Equipment type and tag:
  • Application and component position:
  • Technical contact:
  • Commercial contact:
  • Required quotation date:
  • Confidentiality or document-handling requirement:

B. Component Identification

  • Component name:
  • Buyer item or part number:
  • Existing Winworth Entity Key or product URL, if known:
  • New, repeat, replacement, prototype, or repair-related inquiry:
  • Drawing number and revision:
  • 3D model or other source files:
  • Sample or failed part available:
  • Quantity per order:
  • Forecast or annual demand:

C. Function and Interfaces

  • Component function:
  • Mating components:
  • Orientation and installation position:
  • Critical datums and dimensions:
  • Fits, sealing faces, contact faces, or mounting interfaces:
  • Holes, channels, connections, joints, or cooling circuit:
  • Fixed dimensions:
  • Dimensions open to proposal:
  • Known field modifications:

D. Material and Manufacturing

  • Material designation and specification:
  • Product form and delivery condition:
  • Heat treatment:
  • Permitted material alternatives:
  • Required or preferred manufacturing route:
  • Prohibited processes:
  • Welding, joining, coating, surface treatment, or assembly requirements:
  • Special process or procedure approvals:

E. Relevant Operating Inputs

  • Temperature range and thermal cycles:
  • Electrical current, duty cycle, and contact condition:
  • Cooling medium, quality, flow, pressure, and connection details:
  • Mechanical load, movement, wear, impact, or vibration:
  • Process media, atmosphere, vacuum, corrosion, or erosion:
  • Adjacent materials, refractory, insulation, or structure:
  • Previous service history and observed failure:

Only include values relevant to the ordered component. Identify whether each value is measured, calculated, a design requirement, a normal operating value, or an allowable limit.

F. Dimensions and Acceptance

  • General tolerances:
  • Critical tolerances and geometric controls:
  • Surface finish and visual criteria:
  • Dimensional report points:
  • Trial fit or assembly check:
  • Functional or interface acceptance:
  • Buyer approval required for deviations:

G. Inspection and Documentation

  • Material certificates and traceability:
  • Required chemistry or properties:
  • Dimensional inspection:
  • NDT method, stage, area, extent, procedure, and acceptance:
  • Pressure, flow, or leak test parameters and acceptance:
  • Electrical, mechanical, metallographic, or other tests:
  • Inspection and test plan:
  • Hold, witness, review, and release points:
  • Report language and file format:
  • Final manufacturing record package:

H. Packaging and Delivery

  • Required delivery date:
  • Partial delivery permitted:
  • Destination and named delivery point:
  • Requested commercial term and stated version:
  • Packing method and preservation:
  • Protected surfaces, openings, and connections:
  • Lifting and handling restrictions:
  • Storage duration and environment:
  • Marking and identification:

I. Open Items and Quotation Basis

  • Information pending buyer confirmation:
  • Items open for Winworth proposal:
  • Required alternatives or option pricing:
  • Required assumptions to be listed:
  • Required exclusions to be listed:
  • Buyer approver for technical changes:
  • Buyer approver for commercial changes:

Submission Check

Confirm that the drawing revision, template values, inspection requirements, delivery request, and commercial documents describe the same scope. Where information conflicts, Winworth's quotation must identify the governing assumption instead of silently choosing one source.
