RFQ Checklist A field checklist for documenting worn, damaged, or undocumented copper replacement parts before quotation.

When an approved drawing is unavailable, measured data and photographs must clearly separate original geometry from wear or damage.

Identification

  • Equipment manufacturer, model, position and part number.
  • Overall photographs and installed orientation.
  • Service history, failure mode and replacement urgency.
  • Available old drawing, manual or adjacent-part information.

Measurement

  • Overall dimensions and functional datums.
  • Hole pattern, threads, flanges, connections and mating faces.
  • Wall thickness, channels and inaccessible internal features.
  • Measure multiple locations where wear may distort the result.

Verification

  • Material identification or sample analysis.
  • Weight and center of gravity for large components.
  • Critical tolerances and fit confirmed against the equipment.
  • Customer approval of the reconstructed drawing before production.
